Primeval
Primeval is a British science fiction drama television programme produced by Impossible Pictures for ITV.
The first episode aired on 10 February 2007 and the second series started on 12 January 2008.
The third series aired in March 2009 first in Spain, then in Germany and in England.
In June ITV announced that they have cancelled the show because of money issues. However, in September 2009 ITV decided that Primeval will return for two new series from 2011. The premieres of Series 4 and series 5 of Primeval will be split between ITV1 and Watch.
The series follows a team of scientists who investigate anomalies in time and deal with the ancient creatures that come through, although they are not always prehistoric. The team of five is led by Professor Nick Cutter, a palaeontologist determined to find his wife who disappeared while investigating an anomaly in the Forest of Dean, England eight years previously.
